From the recording Gone
Gone is a reimagined version of a track from our 2016 EP Wild Edges, recorded with our current full band (keys, bass, and drums), capturing the song as it sounds in the room now. The result is something between a roots rock record and a late-night drive: emotionally open, mid-tempo, and built around the kind of harmonies we love.
We recorded this in our living room studio once again, and pieced the song together with just a few takes. It's the result of years spent playing this song together and the cadence and vibe it's gathered over time.

Lyrics
One day I'm gonna hit the road
and I, I’m not coming back
until I'm ready to
Said I'm gonna hit the road
if I never ever come back
well that's ok too
The best place I've ever been is on the road
The best place I've ever been is gone
The best place I've ever been is on the road
The best place I've ever been is gone
Put some pavement under the wheels
yeah the yellow lines, I play the White Stripes
on my stereo
Desert sand and winter snow
mountains high, valleys low
they're so low
The best place I've ever been is on the road
The best place I've ever been is gone
The best place I've ever been is on the road
The best place I've ever been is gone
The best place I've ever been is on the road
The best place I've ever been yeah is gone gone gone gone
The best place I've ever been is on the road
The best place I've ever been is gone
