We launched a crowdfunding campaign on Rockethub one week ago to support our first full-length album release, Travelers. Crowdfunding is a new strategy for us, but we’ve seen it really work for other artists & start ups as away to let the audience be super involved and support the artist both during and after project creation. So now it’s our turn!
It’s hard to believe, but we’ve been working on this album since last May! Our video for Lights On released in August was a preview for the new album, but we are excited to get started sharing the rest of it more widely and let you experience it for yourselves.
Album Making Milestones:
May 2013 – Nate began tracking drums at the Goshen Theater
June + July + August 2013 – guitars, vocals and additional instruments with special guests recorded at T.Bush Recording in Syracuse, IN
November 2013 – Nate & Tim put their heads together for the mixdown, with tweaks and additions stretching into Dec 2013
February 2014 – Album mastered in the capable hands of Mr. Tim Bushong
As you can see, we took the long route to getting this album finished. When you’re working multiple jobs and your bandmates are working multiple jobs, and you go on tour and to several music conferences in the middle, that’s kind of what happens! Most of all, we gave these songs all the love and detail they deserved.
We’re excited to bring you into the story by hosting this funding campaign and invite you to aid us in finishing it off right. As anyone whose spent any time in the music business will tell you – the real work begins after the album comes out! Thousands have already been invested in this project, and funding from this campaign will support the manufacturing, marketing and promotion aspects of the project.
You can participate in this elaborate “pre-order” and funding effort to snag the album and other fun goods we dreamed up together. Visit our Rockethub campaign page to learn more and stream a new song off the record.
We appreciate all the support thus far, as of this writing we are at 16% to our goal, and look forward to all we can do together. Most of all, thank you for listening!
